From NOAA a few minutes ago

Major Hurricane Idalia will likely be an unprecedented event for many locations in the Florida Big Bend. Looking back through recorded history, NO major hurricanes have ever moved through the Apalachee Bay. When you try to compare this storm to others, DON'T. No one has seen this.

It is still a big storm, and will cause a lot of damage and problems, but it also dropped back down to a Cat 3 before landfall, and looks to be moving pretty quickly out to the Atlantic.

The panic and hyperbole seems unnecessary.  Not to downplay the real problems that are happening, just reminding the chicken littles that the sky is not falling.  Probably won't be bad enough to drag Dark Brandon out of the basement to eye-laser the floodwaters away.

Mal is hoping AOC somehow got control of the VRWC's weather satellite, and is aiming it at DeSantis.

In the real world, 7 named hurricanes and 10 named tropical storms went within 150 miles of Tallahassee, FL since 1990, https://www.homefacts.com/hurricanes/Florida/Leon-County/Tallahassee.html . The 1950s and 1960s look to have bee even busier. IF NOAA said what mal claimed, somebody at NOAA played selectivity games with the stats assuming no one would factcheck their claim.

Or maybe mal lied, assuming no DUmmie would factcheck her claim.
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

Time for DeSantis to shine again on his managerial skills and get Florida back up and running in weeks if not days. Unlike every donkie-commie governor.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
