Republicans lied, cheated, and stole to get here today.

They lied to the Senate during confirmation hearings.
Mitch McConnell cheated the Constitution and stole a SCOTUS seat from Obama.
This is fascism at it's best.
What recourse do we have?

Time to make BLM protests look like a church picnic.

10. Actually, it was 2010. Census year, and a GOP astroturf win.

That locked in not only at least a decade of GOP gerrymandering of districts, but gave us a cultural white hysteria leading to the Teaparty/Freedumb caucus, and Donald Trump.
I'm not blaming Obama. Im blaming those who sat out 2010 on purity principles and those in the Media who cynically went along with the corporate sponsorship because of cocktail parties or something like that.
I blame those who played both-siderism instead of actually thinking about what was going on and where the propaganda shit-show was heading.
Or maybe they really did just want to burn it all down, thinking that somehow, the chaos wouldn't overtake them, the mobs would settle down, and the Really Smart People (tm) would take over and re-write the Constitution to reflect Modern Society and get rid of all the messy old-tymie stuff.

I don’t think the Democrats ever understood that this was a death match. They’ve been so timid, so willing to adhere to rules and handshake agreements that they’ve been getting run over for decades.

They needed to be every bit as conniving, ruthless and brutal as the Republicans are and simply don’t have it in them. What’s that famous quote? They bring policy papers to a knife fight? Something like that.

I just wonder how it is that so many of us could see where this was heading since Nixon and none of them apparently could. Are they that naive? Or is it something else?

6. And.....

.....the game is rigged to begin with. The Senate....with States sparsely populated getting two Senators just like States like New York and California, with tens of millions more people.

And the Electoral College, which will never work against Republicans like it does against Democrats.

In a fair fight Republicans would hardly ever win control of anything.

No, McConnell did not cheat the Constitution or steal anything from Obama. To say that is to suggest the selection rightly belonged to Obama, which it didn't.

I object!  I was there, and it was real, honest-to-God grown grassroots that won the 2010's.  We flipped over 1,000 seats.

Not to mention, that garland has since proven himself an activist, unfit for SCOTUS, making it a wise decision to have prevented it.
