Atticus
On some days---and this is one of them---I feel like a passenger in a bus full of people that's driving slowly but steadily toward a cliff.
Everyone on the bus can see where we're headed.
The bus driver seems like a nice man but he is texting on his phone instead of steering.
Those of us on the bus who fear the cliff are labelled "alarmists" and are repeatedly assured that the driver knows what he's doing and will eventually "do the right thing".
And, so, we all continue to just watch and hope that "someone" will do "something".

A more accurate description would be a mentally deficient idiot who has dementia. The passengers on the bus may recognize something isn’t right, but they haven’t a clue what to do either, and even if they wrestled the steering wheel away from the driver, they’d just drive off a different cliff.
What the Atticus primitive fails to see is that he’s incompetent on a bus full of incompetents that’s driven by the head incompetent, and their ideology has placed their bus on a plateau where any direction they turn is a cliff. The only way to live is to exit the bus, climb down the face of the cliff, and try to assimilate into normal society. But that would require them to take off the rose colored glasses, and that’s just not gonna happen.
So the question is will he catch any heat for calling Cap’n Dementia a bus driver who’s not paying attention, which isn’t much different than when Pitt called their Dear Leader Obama a POS used car salesman?
