abbreviated Republican National Convention
« on: September 01, 2008, 07:40:02 AM »
Does anyone know if the appearances of George Bush and Richard Cheney at the Republican National Convention have been canceled totally, or only delayed?

I'd drive ten miles to watch them on television.

And Donald Rumsfeld too, although he was never scheduled.

And John Ashcroft too, although he was never scheduled.

It would be bittersweet but touching, the final "political" appearances of the president who husbanded America through one of the greatest crises in our history--and this, despite the vigor and vehemence and Hatred of obstructionists and destructionists--and the vice president who since 2001 had always been my first choice for the Republican nomination in 2008.

apres moi, le deluge

Milo Yiannopoulos "It has been obvious since 2016 that Trump carries an anointing of some kind. My American friends, are you so blind to reason, and deaf to Heaven? Can he do all this, and cannot get a crown? This man is your King. Coronate him, and watch every devil shriek, and every demon howl."

Bush/Cheney are out. They have issued a statement saying that the impending storm is more important and needs the full attention of the govt. But, the schedule still lists both of them.

A schedule of the convention is here  - http://www.gopconvention.com/

I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Spread my work ethic, not my wealth.

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
