Out Of His Mind Trump Demands Automakers Lower All Car Prices By $3,000
Trump is now demanding that all US automakers, or he called them “politically correct automakers,” lower car prices by $3,000 across the board.
Trump tweeted:
Donald J. Trump
✔
@realDonaldTrump
My proposal to the politically correct Automobile Companies would lower the average price of a car to consumers by more than $3000, while at the same time making the cars substantially safer. Engines would run smoother. Very little impact on the environment! Foolish executives!

Trump’s tweet was the opposite of free-market principles. The President Of The United States is demanding that automakers lower their car prices. The government is trying to tell automakers how much they can charge for their products.
Donald Trump is showing signs of seriously losing his mind. There has been a great of hyperbole about the president’s mental state, and if one looks back over the last few decades speculation about a president’s health has become a national hobby, but Trump’s tweet is very bizarre behavior. The Republican Party once accused Barack Obama of trying to nationalize the auto industry through a government bailout, but they say nothing when Trump tries to impose price controls on auto companies.
The tweet was likely part of a half baked Trump pitch to derail a recession by spurring auto purchases.

I'm sorry. I read the tweet. I guess my understanding of the word proposal is all askew. I never dreamed that if I proposed something that I was actually demanding it be done. I have to now put the word proposal in my dictionary right next to racism as another word I simply didn't understand.

4. He's gone full goose bozo! Cuckoo Lulu!
Next, he'll demand that TV manufacturers lower their prices by $0.30 to spur TV sales.
What's this? A DUmmie who actually read, and understands (kinda) what the tweet actually says and is about?

7. This relates to fuel mileage standards.
Trump wants to keep fuel mileage standards low. But California has very high standards and the big automakers have decided that they'd rather try to meet the California standards than fight for the low standards that Trump wants to give them. So, of course, the big baby in the WH is upset that the auto companies aren't toeing his line. His "logic" is that by keeping the standards low, car prices will be lower than would otherwise be the case. And people will buy more new cars if the prices are lower. And new cars are safer than old cars and thus, in Trump's "logic", raising the fuel standards will result in more traffic fatalities because people will be driving older cars longer.
It's just another tantrum.
Surprisingly, not a single DUmmie has answered the above post. They would rather go on what the author of the story told them it meant.

10. Oh, I'm sure that's going to go over really well.
While we're at it, let's have all landlords cut rents in half.

12. That's a misleading characterization
He’s not demanding they lower prices by $3,000.
But of course all the rest of the country must bow down to meet what California says the standard must be ...

30. He's nuts and a fool. Why on earth would car mfg do this? It cost them a lot of money...
to put the changes in place so they'd meet or exceed what was out in place to help protect the environment and save consumers gas/money.
It's about their bottom line so they're certainly not going to do it just to satisfy the ego of a looney huckster who will quite possibly be gone come the election and his successor would probably make them change it all back.

33. 25th Amendment?!
This guy is clearly unfit. When is something going to be done about it?
So says someone who has no reading comprehension ... ^^^^
More at the link. I would think this one should grow because there are far more of them who will just swallow the headline.
