Newt was the first prominent politician in our era to criminalize our politics. Many here probably are too young to know how important Newt is in the creation of this Trump world. Newt started attacking Dems as criminals. Newts advance in political strategy was to turn Orwell into science. He had pollsters test the impact of word choice. Death Tax replacing Estate Tax was one of the successes. Newt found that describing Dems in criminal terms worked in his test panels. So off to the races. Newt learned that the right words work whether true or not. Newt learned to ignore truth and focus on verbal manipulation. Newts science of Orwell has spawned the magabomber. Trump stands on the shoulders of a giant, Newt Gingrich.
