2. Yah, he is. He's a quiet guy, but speaks up when he needs to.

And when he does, people listen to him. He's a great old guy!

…..A local minister, from an evangelical church in the community, gave the main address at the ceremony. Very quickly, he turned away from speaking about the service and sacrifice of military people and launched into a diatribe against liberal politics, gays, and abortion.....

 

^^^looks like a leaping frog, but actually means "bouncy," a made-up tale.

Yeah, I've heard decades of comments Evangelical pastors make in recognition of Memorial Day and July 4th. Not one ever wandered off into irrelevancies like that. If he posted a local mainstream newspaper's account I'd think otherwise. But lacking that I think the story is MM's bigoted fiction, told with the confidence that there are enough anti-Christian bigots among DUpipo that no one will dare point out its implausibility.
