Jeff Flake and the train crash . . . . as heard on MSNBC

Flake was doing a phone conversation with Andrea Mitchell. He said he and other legislators rendered aid to the deceased truck worker. (Good for them! Seriously. Good for them.)

Then he started up again and said something I find bordering on incredible. He said he and other lawmakers carried the injured workers to waiting ambulances, where medical personnel were "standing by".

Medical personnel, at a disaster scene, were "standing by"?

"Standing by?"

Really?

Like . . . . spectators?

I find that so hard to believe that I call it bullshit.

I believe you heard it wrong because you hear what you want to hear.

Just STC showing that he knows squat about squat except squatting next to the litterbox.  Yes, medical personnel were standing by.  In a mass casualty situation, it's called staging.  They were probably waiting to receive injured people from the accident to take them to the hospital.

What an idiot.

Not having experience, my guess is that trained people would move the injured onto litters and then volunteers do the carrying from the cluttered crash area to the waiting ambulances. It gets the injured into the ambulances quicker than if the much fewer trained people did all the carrying. But as you say, untrained DU folk neither know that nor think clearly enough to understand why things are handled that way.
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

In military settings, that's how it would work.  In a civilian mascal, the gurneys have wheels and the EMTs would just wheel the patients to the triage area.  There, a triage officer decides what order they should be taken to the hospital based on their injuries, and then sent to waiting ambulances to actually go.

This explains a bit more of what Stinker posted: https://pjmedia.com/trending/heroic-gop-doctors-treated-injured-scene-amtrak-crash/ . Among the GOP Congress Critters were several doctors who lent assistance, apparently against the inclination of their security people.

You are too stupid to understand logic and reality.  A good mole or a comatose democrat.

I think I found the crux of your argument. :whistling:

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

"These anti-gun fools are more dangerous to liberty than street criminals or foreign spies."--Theodore Haas, Dachau Survivor
