Is the United States a Christian Nation or a Calvinist Nation?
That depends on how much you know about the difference and which party is in power. It's worth a look and some investigation. Really. The original settlers of the country were Calvinists. You'll be surprised to learn how much Calvinism has shaped this country, its politics, its economics and its social structures. Really. You can start learning about all that at this link: ...
Ummmmmm ... no.
The settlers in the first colony, Jamestown, were Anglicans, not any flavor of Calvinist.
The settlers in Plymouth Colony were Calvinist Separatists who viewed the Church of England (i.e. Anglican) as corrupted beyond reform.
The settlers in Massachusetts Bay Colony were Calvinist Puritans who wanted but failed to "purify" the Church of England.
Pennsylvania was set up as a haven for Quakers, who were not Calvinist.
Maryland was set up as a haven for Catholics.
I really doubt MM could tell the difference among Lutherans ("Pennsylvania Dutch"), Calvinists, and Anglicans.
