Interesting polling for Virginia

http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/virginia/election_2008_virginia_presidential_election

worth a minute to read.  while its rather close overall, particulars favor McC among the mushy middle.
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.

Yes, I'd say this poll favors McCain - if all other thing remain equal he'll win that state - Virginia has gone GOP every time since 1964, and I don't see Barack Hussein Obama pulling this off at all.

From the link, there's this:

Quote
McCain does have one significant edge over Obama in that he is viewed far more favorably than his Democratic opponent. McCain earns favorable reviews from 61% of Virginia voters, Obama from just 51%.

Perhaps more ominous for Obama is the fact that 47% of Virginia voters have an unfavorable opinion of him, including 31% with a Very Unfavorable view.

For McCain, just 36% have an unfavorable opinion including 16% with a Very Unfavorable assessment.

His negatives should be able to the scale to Juan McCain, and the fact that there's probably a real Bradley Effect going on here, VA being a mid-Atlantic state and all.

The real cause of that being the influx of people from everywhere into Northern Va.  Ordinary Virginians are pretty straight up on that.  They're not voting BHO because he's a socialist, not because he's black.

Yep. NOVA is moonbat central. But, I saw more Hillary supporters than Ooooobama supporters.
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
