And I understand your a left wing dummycrat, I am thinking wow ok this will be nice visit. I used discretion and I said this is nice get together we should not talk politics, as they were leaving my youngest brother hugged me and whispered in my ear thanks bro for keeping it laid back.

If this happened, if as described, and if nothing relevant was omitted, the DU-guy handled it well. That's a lot of "Ifs", and it's a DU-member telling the tale. And, frankly, unless the DU-member works for the union or is a shop steward or for some reason was directly asked, I don't know why his being a union member would even be mentioned. When people ask me what I do for a living, I NEVER make a point of mentioning my jobs are non-union.
