The lioness primitive has an interesting background. She's a descendant of one of the upper castes in India who prospered under the British raj. After India became independent, while life was still good for the upper castes, it wasn't as good as it used to be, what with all this socialism running rampant, and so many of them emigrated to other places where it was more comfortable.
I suspect this is why the lioness primitive is such a crummy housekeeper and dishwasher; she has no idea how to do it, because when she was a wee little girl in India, the untouchables used to do such things for her and her family.
I find it curious and a bit amusing that LLP is posting in DU's Af-Am forum as if she were a full-fledged POC. When it comes to socio-political status in the
Wonderful World of Prog, there are "First Class" POCs, e.g. blacks and Hispanics. East Asians and South Asians are more like "Second Class" POCs, because,
broad-brushing, a large percentage of those Asians do well academically (e.g. LLP) and economically. This is shown, for example, by East Asians being discriminated against in college admissions even more than are "whites". While I haven't heard of it, I would not be surprised if Indians are similarly discriminated against in favor of blacks and Hispanics. So LLP better be careful how she posts on DU's Af-Am forum, because there may be an actual Af-Am who is itching to put her in her place.
More to your point, her posts that I've seen do have a
spoiled brat savor to them.
ETA: Turns out I was correct,
Indians are discriminated against in college admissions. The articles, largely, frame it as discrimination in favor of whites, but at least one mentions that whites are discriminated against in favor of blacks and Hispanics. Thus, the reason I said East and South Asians are
Second Class POC.
IMO, admissions decisions should use a database where prospective students are assigned numbers, with their name, sex, home addresses, and
types of sports, music, and community service orgs filtered out so that decision makers have no clue as to the ethnic origins and sexes of prospective students. And if those accepted are mostly ethnic Asian or white or black or whatever, so be it. Ditto the male-female mix.
