Can he stop paying taxes because he's nominally head of the IRS? Can he build a casino in the Grand Canyon because he's in charge of the National Parks?

The role of CiC relates only to the military, not civilian agencies. Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution says "The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States." Trump, in his capacity as CiC, couldn't order Comey to do squat because he wasn't Comey's CiC.

It's no secret that I am not a Trump fan; but this stinks to high heaven. You mean to tell me Comey had that "memo" the entire time and only decides to leak it after he gets fired? Something stinks in Denmark.

A week or two the WashPost and the other D-Shill-Media were claiming Comey had asked for more $$ for the investigation. The Acting FBI Director nuked that claim by telling Congress the FBI had plenty of money and resources for the investigation. And now the WashPost and D-Shill-Media are claiming Trump "ordered" Comey to shut it down? The WashPost and D-Shill-Media need to pick a lie and stick with it, or they'll keep finding their newest lies refuted by the refutation of their previous lies, the way this lie was.

Trump wasn't my pick either, but I will have to say I've never seen a sitting president of the US treated like this in my lifetime.  He's not 4 months into the job and I can't say that he has had any relief from the media or the left, but I repeat myself.  Damn they won't let them have time to breathe!  Give him a little breathing room and see what he can accomplish.  If he doesn't do the job we'll fire him in 4 years, but if you don't give him the chance I think it's going to whiplash on the liberals.

Plus in all those hearings it never came out about Pres. Trump asking Comey to let it go.  Sounds like just another thing to fog Pres. Trump from pushing his agenda.  The democRATS and their lackey media is going to do this as long as there is a non democRAT in office.

Amazing to me that Comey can convict Martha Stewart but is unwilling to charge HiLiary Clinton and let the courts decide.    :mad:

They're not going to let up for a second. This is as much a GOP thing as it is a Trump thing. The Dems intended this past election to be the final knockout blow to the opposition and in turn they were knocked out themselves. They've been shown to be the extreme minority on the political stage and they can't handle it. The reason they are pushing so hard for impeachment is it's the only tool they have left in the bag. Even so, it's an extreme long shot. Trump won't be impeached.
