So their employees could ride. Unbelievable.

Via Daily Mail:

A video of the moment a screaming man was forcibly dragged off an overbooked United flight by airport cops while fellow passengers yelled in distress has emerged.

Three officers were filmed yanking the man from his seat, bashing his head against an arm rest and dragging him down the aisle in Chicago on Sunday after too many passengers were loaded onto the flight to Louisville.

The man – who claimed to be a doctor and said he needed to see patients the next morning – was one of four randomly selected by United to leave the plane and fly the next day.

United had unsuccessfully appealed for volunteers who were willing to give up their seats for $800, stay in a hotel.
When their appeal fell on deaf ears they selected four passengers by computer. One couple left the plane peacefully, but the man who was travelling with his wife refused.
