Vickers Donating Member (1000+ posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:12 AMResponse to Original message1. In the last post (since deleted) I counted: 12 personal pronouns and first-person adjectives (and it wasn't a very long post).
BushDespiser12 Donating Member (1000+ posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:13 AMResponse to Original message2. I put him on ignore after 2 days of the spam. Is he gone?
Mojorabbit Donating Member (1000+ posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:13 AMResponse to Original message3. I thought he was cute as a button even if a bit precocious. He did not bother me a bit.
Occam Bandage Donating Member (1000+ posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:14 AMResponse to Reply #38. He had like three posts removed in half an hour, because they were all utterly contentless "why does nobody pay attention to me hey look at my website" spam.
Dreamer Tatum (644 posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:40 AMResponse to Reply #1624. He is a minor. Probably best to cut him loose. If he couldn't be controlled, and if he wouldn't follow convention, it's probably best to avoid possible liability.
hfojvt Donating Member (1000+ posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:41 AMResponse to Reply #1626. well, one out of two isn't bad I am not 14 but I AM Zaphod Beeblebrox. So huge that I destroyed the center of the world. It used to be my big sister. Then I was born.

alcibiades_mystery Donating Member (1000+ posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:14 AMResponse to Original message7. This is what I tried to post to the last thread "I believe you are who you say you are, if only because your endless yabbering. While people of your age (and, unfortunately, far too many who are older) tend to think it's all about YOU, it's not. It's really not. So quit the bullshit. Nobody's trying to push you out. Nobody really cares enough to try. It's not all about YOU.Relax, stop placing yourself at the center of everything you post, and let the process of becoming part of a community happen organically. But most of all, RELAX. All this me-me-me-ism" is just grating and annoying now. Cut the bullshit."It was deleted before I could get it in.
mcctatas Donating Member (1000+ posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:21 AMResponse to Original message11. He was annoying, but for Christ's sake he was just a kid.... if we can't either ignore the little annoyances or at least refrain from being mean to children, we are truly assholes. I remember what it was like to be a precocious teen who didn't quite fit in with either my peers or the adults, it was not fun. That being said, I'm not sorry to see him go
Gabi Hayes Donating Member (1000+ posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:33 AMResponse to Reply #1819. one thing for sure.... he won't be coming back under a new ID, pushing, pushing, pushingor.....?????
madfloridian Donating Member (1000+ posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:33 AMResponse to Original message20. Too many here are proud of their rudeness. Bragging about getting rid of a 14 year old kid. How hard was that? Those of us who are older are used to the rudeness by now...but good Lord, the he was 14.I think this is bragging.
FedUpWithIt All Donating Member (1000+ posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:33 AMResponse to Original message21. The CHILD is still able to read this. Please consider his feelings.
madfloridian Donating Member (1000+ posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:37 AMResponse to Original message23. This is not a proud day for DU. So bully me for saying that. Shame on you for posting this about a 14 year old.
Occam Bandage Donating Member (1000+ posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:41 AMResponse to Reply #2325. Youth is not a blanket excuse to act like an ass. He was unable to participate in this forum without making himself a general irritant. A thank-you to the mods for removing irritants, while against the rules (and I am surprised this has not yet been locked) is not uncommon. I am not going to mourn the loss of a self-absorbed self-promoting poster, simply because that poster happened to be younger than most self-absorbed self-promoting posters.(And for all your talk about bullies, this is your third "shame on you" post in one thread...)
alcibiades_mystery Donating Member (1000+ posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:49 AMResponse to Reply #2530. Never mind that a lot of people work and manage social conventions well by 14 I know for some DUers, the general infantilization of society has extended even to seniors in college, who are apparently still helpless children unable to negotiate foreign airports. But many of us actually used to drag our asses to school and work at 14, and some of us even had to learn about being adults by actually having adults treat us as adults. GASP! The horror, the loss of innocence, the "bullying."While the sheer frequency with which some posters start crying about bullying certainly makes me sad for THEIR own teenage years, I find it is overblown in 99 out of 100 cases. Some stuff isn't "bullying." It's adequate and honest treatment of young adults and semi-adults. And there's nothing wrong with that.
Bob Dobbs (569 posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:46 AMResponse to Original message28. This was a for profit promotional scam. I am skeptical of the age and identity of the real poster. How much money did he fleece from DU rubes in "donations" in his brief con game here?
pinto DU Moderator Donating Member (1000+ posts) Tue Aug-12-08 02:49 AMResponse to Original message31. Locking. Thanks.
Heh. I wonder if they realize that their reactions to the precocious primitive are the same reactions the rest of the world often has about them?
Odd that Ava didn't get banned, then. She's as much a self-centered attention whore as Asher. I suppose she got a pass because she distracted the DUmp monkeys with pretty pictures of dead Iraqis.

You know, instead of Obama saying it. What a little megalomaniac. Maybe if his mommy and daddy would pay just a little more attention to him, he wouldn't have to risk getting collared by an off-duty NAMBLA member doing their daily trolls of DU and Kos.
