PGA Move To Mexico City Will Prove To Be Historic For The Game In A Rebuff For Racism.

Trump did Mexico a great favor with his racist hatred. He elevated their stature in a way nothing else could. And the US now looks like a chump. Plus the PGA move will prove positive for the game itself and bodes well for the reputation of the PGA itself.

The PGA is no longer just a US association. As a golfer I am proud to see someone do the right thing. The PGA field has also done a favor for itself with so many name players showing up. Too bad Tiger could not be at this event.

1. PGA should have moved to Africa

There are many great courses in South Africa.

PGA Tour Move Very Costly To TRUMP Doral CC In Money And Prestige. Value Significantly Reduced.

A PGA tour event means mega dollars for the host. Doral losing the PGA event costs millions upon millions over time. Plus the draw of a golf course for general play resides in the fact that the PGA tour plays there. The cost in the reduction of green fees over time is really huge.

It is likely that a fee at Doral might be $300 plus being a PGA course. That loss means you really lose value and would have to reduce fees to play their. Golfers like to brag how they played on a PGA course. Otherwise not so much.

1. For Example I Played Hilton Head GC Once Where PGA Plays Week After Masters. It Was A Thrill.

When I was much younger I played a PGA tour course from the championship tees. And it was very revealing to see how my game added up to the pros. I certainly had the distance then. Sadly I did not have the accuracy and panache the pros have even close. The alligator on 10 was interesting.

The point of this OP is to explain how much value is added when you have a PGA course. It adds value tremendously and you can charge premium fees to play. The reputation and value is HUUUUGE as the Donald would say.

Trump losing that event is a tremendous blow to his ego and pocket book.

Does anybody know what President Trump had to do with this?

It's been my understanding since I've been about three feet tall that the PGA championship has indicated a desiredness to move, as it's gotten pretty boring where it's at; in other words, they've made noises about moving it for decades.
