China - the inventor of fireworks - used fake CGI fireworks during opening ceremony

Now that's what I call authentic historical details! I thought this was one of the best parts of the opening ceremony - now we find out it was faked. Of course the NBC commentators didn't bother to make it clear that what we were watching was fake footage instead of a real fly-over of the city.

The Beijing Times has revealed that the footprint fireworks sequence for the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics, was computer generated and inserted into the coverage too look like the real thing. Beijing’s hazy night skies and camera shake as though it was filmed from a helicopter was even added to the sequence to make it look more authentic.

Now for the Algore;

It goes without saying that climate realists around the world believe Nobel Laureate Al Gore used false information throughout his schlockumentary "An Inconvenient Truth" in order to generate global warming hysteria.

On Friday, it was revealed by ABC News that one of the famous shots of supposed Antarctic ice shelves in the film was actually a computer-generated image from the 2004 science fiction blockbuster "The Day After Tomorrow." [audio available here]

Adding delicious insult to injury, this was presented by one of ABC's foremost global warming alarmists Sam Champion during Friday's "20/20":

11. ROFLMAO!!!! That IS ironic!

All this frantic putting up a good front is kinda getting on my nerves though. The fact that they FORCED 3 cyclists to apologize for actually using their IOC-sanctioned anti-pollution gas masks in front of cameras is just so ****ing wrong.

Why oh why would they ignore the Algore using the same tactic?  I just don't get it.   :mental:

 :lmao:

I guess it is ok if you are truly trying to put one over on the public but not okay if you are simply trying to entertain.

   :bs:

Wrong again primitive retard!  Matt Lauer (NBC commentator) made a big deal about the fact that the foot step fireworks in the flyover to the stadium were CGI graphics and not real.  Both Lauer and Costas made mention of it in the overall theme of the show being an "epic film event by China's premier cinematographer."

     Right now they love China, mainly because they have a chance of winning the most medals. That would "shame" America in their eyes, and, of course, anything that shames America is a very good thing. China is temporarily on the DU Approval list.

     By the way, so is Russia. They're kicking the piss out of Georgia, a - wait for it - US ally.
