Let's talk about the Republicans...

...they've mostly been "ghosting" and hiding out since election day. With all the snowflakes in that Party, it must be about a foot deep on the House floor?

They are scared shitless. You will not find one profile in courage amongst the lot of them. They stand silently by as their mentally-ill leader proceeds to destroy everything our country has ever stood for and they do nothing. They do not even whisper.

They understand that all it takes is one little Tweet back to their home district and they could be out of business in the next election. So they choose to remain silent.

Even with their huge majority in the House, they are powerless to do anything, for fear of their all-powerful leader, Trump.

They are willing to cover and to lie for his mistakes, which have been many in the first ten days. He doesn't inform them of anything and they don't seem to care? They are nothing more than empty suits taking up space in our Capitol. They are less than worthless.

Yeah, yeah, sure, sure.

New thread, just up.  I wanted to see where it goes, but it's not off to a promising start.

I'm so old that I remember when Trump was not only going down in landslide defeat but also turn the senate deep blue and probably put Nanzi Pelousi back as speaker.

Anybody else that old?
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I'm so old that I remember when people were saying that Trump wouldn't run, he was just seeking publicity by talking about it.

He got 4 responses, all from posters who have less than a combined 500 posts. Also, all those words but only 2 question marks. He must have the flu or something. He needs to try going more TMN.

What in Hades is he talking about? IIRC, Congress was in session after the election, then there was Thanksgiving, then they were in session a bit, and then came the Christmas holidays. Soon after the New Year, new Senators and all Reps were sworn in, and for the most part they've been in session ever since. Including hearings on several Trump cabinet nominees.

Last I checked it was the democRATS that are not showing up for work.  Walking out on confirmation hearing and such.

Very!

...confused stupidity.

I'm just so used to Bob's retardation.

I shall be more discerning in the future.
