Hubris gets its predictable reward
« on: January 11, 2017, 10:47:21 AM »
Remember all those preening Libs when the whole 'Fake news' meme came out, and the purveyors said it didn't work all that well on them?  How they were so proud and brimming with pomposity over how they were 'Too intelligent and sophisticated to fall for that rube stuff?'  Of course that isn't why it didn't take root with them, it was because a billion dollars worth of opposition research and paid-off 'Victims' were already choking the news stream with anti-Trump/GOP propaganda, so there was no room for the wily fake news entrepreneurs.

Now, thanks to the gift of 4chan troll pranking an idiot Leftie journalist, who fed it on to his extremely gullible and bigoted fellows at CNN, Buzzfeed, and the other usual suspects, we have the puffed-up morons on the Left embarrassed by the Trump water sports scamdal.  I haven't had so much glee from this kind of karma since Dan Rather got caught with his 'Fake but accurate' BS.  Well...not counting November 8th, of course!

I suspect "fake news" will have a very brief life as a narrative. It invites scrutiny, and the MSM have warehouse complexes full of skeletons.

And then there're trolls like this 4chan guy who trolled grossly obvious fake documents to a credulous Trump-Hater, who passed them on to equally hatred-blindered credulous media people. I wonder if the guy thought he would succeed as wildly as he did. He's also probably wondering whether he would still have gotten away with his hoax if he had included a Cracker Jack logo at the bottom of the "memo" pages.

OMG, loved The Donald's shutdown of the Fake News DNC mouthpiece, CNN, at today's presser.

I've been floating on Cloud Nine, aka, SANITY, since this election.  Thank God we won, and thus America won.

Putrid "news" will slither away into the cesspool from whence it exuded, aka, the DemonRats Slime Swamp.  And well, we know Trump's position on swamps.

Look for all kinds of MSM and Lib/Prog pol chest-beating about the First Amendment and freedom of the press - the sound of sacred cows being gored and ground into powder (I like slicing, dicing, and julienning metaphors, :-) ). The MSM are indeed protected (short of slander and libel) by the First Amendment. Including being stupid, as in the recent GoldenShowersGate.

BUT freedom of the press does not take away Trump's First Amendment protected freedom of speech, nor does freedom of the press require him to be cordial with the press or grant them any more access to information or himself than a random citizen has. Frankly, the MSM have worked long and hard to earn the treatment they're getting (and hopefully will continue to get, on steroids). More specifically, if the MSM are going to publish blatantly bogus hit-pieces like GoldenShowersGate they should expect proportional retort.

More and more I see an increasingly irrelevant MSM being shown the door, with a swift kick in the ass on the way out.

I guess why that explains why the NY Slimes and other news "outlets" are doing relatively poorly.
