My brother's perfect response to William Rivers Pitt on the Intelligence Report

I love William Pitt. He’s been one of the great voices of reason and has continuously fought for what is right and good. He being the editor of Truth-Out couldn’t be more apt.

However, he’s buying into the “Russia did it!” bullshit.

My brother replied to him. John couldn’t have been more spot on. Excellent response to the craziness that is the “Intelligence’ Report” by our government.

 Read the entire ACI Report, and reading it made me ill. Not because “OMG, Putin, Trump!” but because this distraction is making people lose sight of everything important about the election and everything important, in general.

The report does state that the election wasn’t hacked and that the emails look legitimate. That’s important; as for the rest, not so much.

Russia spies on us. Everyone knows that. We spy on them too…and ourselves. (BTW, I thought it was important that the NSA, the agency that knows the most about this, also has the least enthusiastic endorsement of the report. Given the report looks like a piece of DNC propaganda and the CIA and FBI have lied perpetually throughout their existences, people should be skeptical.)

RT is bias. No kidding. (The report also throws in obvious true reporting about income inequality and fracking as if it were sinister. No, that was real reporting.)

Putin doesn’t like Clinton. Either does most of the United States.

Russia wants the U.S. to join in on a coalition against ISIL. WTF! We don’t? Why?

And it goes on to state the obvious some more.

Anything more complicated than a glass of water has numerous causes, which often can be ranked in order of importance. The media and their owners, and the DNC are far more culpable for the Trump presidency than Putin. Putin didn’t put the two worst candidates in living memory on the ballot. Russia didn’t make Clinton take money from all the worst industries in the country. Russia didn’t make the DNC and the media work to stifle Sanders’ campaign. Russia didn’t make her support the war for years. Russia didn’t make her support every war and bombing campaign we have had in the last 15 years. Russia didn’t make her support ubiquitous spying and stand against universal health care. Russia didn’t make Clinton take no stand against the DAPL. Until the Democrats and the country face those facts and stop chasing phantoms, none of those problems will get fixed.

The first strawman was third party voters. Now it’s Russia. But more people stayed home than voted for a third party. That’s not Russia’s fault, either.

Trump needs an opposition – and a fact-based opposition who fights him on important issues and agrees with him when he’s right. (Just like Obama’s supporters should have been doing the last eight years. “Way to go on pardoning prisoners!” “Good job on turning the country around!” “Stop bombing so many damned countries and stop spying on us!” “Leave whistleblowers alone!”

Like that.

I care about issues, not propaganda and “Yay our team.” The Democrats are moving us not only to a new cold war with the possibility of a nuclear war (we came very close to nuclear annihilation many times) they may start a hot one; is that supposed to be ignored because…Trump?

Ok, admittedly, I didn't read the whole report.
But when it starts out with a disclaimer making a basic statement, and I am paraphrasing, "this is jus tour opinion and it might be wrong", you know what you are looking at.
The whole thing is nothing but speculative bullshit.
The "report" is like reading a rant over at the DUmp.
I'm still not willing to sit here and say Russia didn't have motives and didn't do anything. But like all other things in government, and most especially ours, I don't believe a damn thing coming from departments ran by political appointees of ANY color.
I used to. The along came Barry. Now I see just how gullible I was before. Barry didn't even try to hide it, he just kept suing us and saying "catch me if you can".

So, lurking Pitt-lovers. The Rindge Town Drunk's Canadian Club-addled brain deduced that Boris and Natasha "worked to undermine the credibility of the American electoral process itself".

Who has been working to undermine the credibility of the American electoral process? Who threatened electors, filed lawsuits to try to change the rules in the middle of the electoral process, claimed that a chimerical "popular vote count" is more valid than the actual Constitutional process, and tried to challenge the certification of election in the House of Representatives?
