‘This sh— will not stand.’ Tech investor Dave McClure delivers epic on-stage Trump rant

“Technology has a role in that we provide communication platforms for the rest of the ****ing country and we are allowing shit to happen just like the cable news networks, just like talk radio,” he said. “It’s a propaganda medium and if people aren’t aware of the shit they’re being told; if they’re being told a story of fear; if they’re being told a story of other; if they’re not understanding that people are trying to use them to get to ****ing office then, yes, assholes like Trump are going to take office and it’s our duty and our responsibility as entrepreneurs, as citizens of the ****ing world, to make sure that shit does not happen. This shit will not stand. You’ve got to fight for your rights.”

He then called on everyone in the crowd to stand up and “make a god damn difference.” They responded with a standing ovation.

warprayer (spelled warrprayer on DU) is not a prominent Proglodyte but he was a prolific firebrand poster leading up to the election. He was beating the racism drum quite loudly and it was always well received because that is all the Hillions had to go on.

He has apparently taken his act to JPR during the Great (P)Outage of 2016 but with significantly diminished results...

1. So.. .. .. Did the standing ovation make a difference?

We’ve had a lot of fighters make rousing speeches … all campaign season…

And the difference?   I guess we noticed that Trump won, right?

3. I guess you notice

That the people are rising up against Trump and all the racism and hate he stands for?

If not, I guarantee you will.

You know what always helps people through tough times?

12. In your mind he stands for whatever you were told he stands for.

re: ” Trump and all the racism and hate he stands for”…

He did no more to get elected than She and any other candidate (yes, our precious Obama too) did by appealing to groups that would believe him and support him.

Actually, She never could decide on any actual statements except for what would appeal to whatever audience was in front of Her.

For you to believe he stands for racism and hate means you were taught that based on early campaign rants and compliant media, staged to appeal to groups that would believe and support Her.

Trump’s speeches actually changed during GE campaigning, began to simmer down and get more honest as he traveled and learned.

By then, only the open minded were still listening to all other candidates and investigating their backgrounds compared to Hers.
Do you really believe half the country (maybe even slightly more) voted for racism and hate over change and the economy?

This tug away from fake political correctness and dynasty presidents was both needed and necessary.

Learn to detach and you may see bigger pictures.

27. between the lines of his rant, "make a differnce" = Co-opt the Electoral College

These tunnel-vision idiots are not going to be happy until they provoke the Alt. Right to start a shooting civil war in our streets.

32. Well then they get to say I told you so, right? The provocation began with all

these instigated protests that sprang unilaterally at once and with all the same signage in 25 cities.

The sexism stuff hasn’t stuck to him so the violent part has to work.

13. Applauding speeches… make what difference? As much as wearing safety pins?

I do hope somebody does something that starts making a difference.  I expect I’d notice…

But speechs and clapping, while rewarding and motivational don’t mean much until people actually move in ways that per chance are effectual.

16. Seems you missed the point of your OP.

““It’s a propaganda medium and if people aren’t aware of the shit they’re being told;”

And it goes on like this.

He tries so hard to rally those he once spurned as deplorable but they seem curiously resistant to his guidance.

 :lmao:  Yes it does.

Not being required to necessarily march in lockstep has allowed the JPRs to maybe let more of their brain cells connect.  They're wrong on Keith Ellison though, so they have a ways to go.

That "tech investor's" speech was utterly incoherent.  And vulgar.

So, this 1%er Dave McClure talks of suppressing free speech, and neither the Hillbots nor the Berniebots bat an eyebrow about either?

Ahhh!

Warprayer is this guy...

For the most part he was just an idiot stoner at DI that posted music videos in lieu of cogent thoughts.

As the election drew closer he totally fell off of his rocker.

Pretty much just a loud mouthed crank. Nothing a good ass kicking couldn't cure.

What the thought process there is, I have no idea.  Wait, .... yes I do.  It will only further hurt them.  So be it.

That's all I could come up with.  A typical childish outburst.

These Jackass Radicals seem quite a bit more cognizant of the ass beating they just took, and will continue to take, for the next two years.  C'mon $kammer, unleash your retards....

WE NEED COMEDY!!!!

Yea, you just go ahead and do that. But don't forget that one little bitty, but critical variable: your paying customers. We have a lot of options and react in an unpleasant manner to unstable services.
