In the past few years I have experienced stress at times, but nothing was more stressful than losing my job.
Du is blessed to have some one to share this unfamiliar experience and some of its consequences.
I've been laid off 5 times since 1993, about to leave my present job under the pressure of the whole operation being moved (a year from now, but I'm 60-something) out of the area. Involuntary job searches are among my 4 least favorite things (alung with moving, root canals, and the entire colonoscopy process). It's stressful and unpleasant, but it's real life.

3. (1) I didn't mean to suggest that all of these types of illnesses are due to emotions if I did.
(2) IBS is also not nearly as severe an illness as what D has. What I have is uncomfortable, but I'm never going to require surgery for it.
(1) Some retentive DU-member must've read into Tobers' post something that wasn't there. Unsurprisingly, given that DU is a self-sustaining straw man hatchery.
(2) Tobers must've been one-upped by a
my-misery-i-worse-than-your-misery DU-victim.
