$25,000 reward offered in beating death of cancer patient

A $25,000 reward has been offered for information in the death of a Missouri cancer patient who was attacked outside her hospital residence in Zion this week.

Cancer Treatment Centers of America announced the reward Thursday as police investigate the death of 46-year-old Shannon Vincel. Police said the Springfield, Mo., woman was sitting outside her hospital residence when someone hit her in the head Monday night. She died the next day.

"Hopefully this leads to the quick capture of this person," Vincel's sister, Fabienne Vincel, said.
