Of course, the big guy as usual forgets who his audience is; the gimme crowd concerned only about their own problems, not the problems of anybody else.

Bad week at our house
Our A/C finally died. It had 3 service calls to figure out the intermittent problem. Marta had a terrible time with work Fri-Sat. Our less than 2 year old sound system under warrenty died Friday while Marta was mad at work. Yada….
<<<bets the big guy wasn't any help at all for Marta during this time, such as bringing in the groceries from the car, wiping her sweating brow, putting his dirty dishes in the sink, or picking up after himself.

1. Well I for one am glad that I am not the only person who has days
where everything I touch or even look at turns to shit. Today for instance, making omelettes- and I do make beautiful omelettes- when I went to flip it out of the pan, I flipped in right onto the burner. The plate was in my other hand, I don’t know how I missed it? All the guts spilled out. I was lucky, the eggs didn’t tear so I scooped up the cheese, with red pepper, onion and sausage and put it back inside before my son saw it. Yeah, it was his omelette.
Sorry you had a rough week though.

3. Boy, I wish my problems were not that bad.
Sorry for the snark, but lack of A C and omelet messes I could live with.

8. Oh, my omelette problems are the least of my sucky life
But no one want’s to attend my pity parties so I quit having them.
<<<wonders if this ^^^ is a subtle slam at the big guy.
It's safe to subtly slam the big guy, because he's pretty dense, and won't get it, even though everybody will.

2. So in other words you had one of my weeks.
Last year I took a cat to the vet, wasn’t feeling well. The vets kept her for 2 weeks and pronouced her healthy. $500.00. Cat came home and wanted outside and never came back. I though she wanted to die but I thought I would have her checked anyway. 2 weeks later I took another one to the vet, rinse repeat. $500.00. My male cat just walked out and did not come back, saved me $500.00. Next month my lab had to visit and needed some med $350.00. Last week new fridge. $500 (on sale). I am saving my self bankrupt though. Now all I have to do is try to save up money again for emergencies.
Make sure you spend just a little bit more for a little more efficient one. I did and it really made a big difference in the light bill. My doors and the walls on my new fridge are twice as thick as my old one.
I replaced my hot water heater with a hybrid one and in 1 more year it will have paid for itself. Dropped my light bill by $30.00 a month right off the bat. My heat pumps are mini-splits and pull as much electricity as 3 100watt old light bulbs.
Pick the right unti and you might save a bundle on it every month..Sometimes these things end up being a blessing.

6. outdoor pets
If you let your cats go outdoors, their life expectancy is 2-3 years, much less than an indoor cat.
It also sounds like you need a new vet, one who is competent.
Notice the response is to another jackass primitive, not to the big guy; the primitives by this time have already forgotten about him.

9. Vet is excellant. The cats like to lay on the back porch and watch the
birds and stuff. They were 14 almost 15 and had loads of fun their whole life and raised 2 dogs. Lab work showed clean on everything so it was just their time like I thought it was.
When they were younger, a neighbors dog was chasing one of the kittens around in the yard and Mama cat climbed into a tree and jumped onto the dog as Purr (kitten) lead him under the tree and Mama jumped onto him with her claws out and gave him a good ride before she jumped off. That dog never chased any of the cats again.
But I am done to one cat, the one who was always the sickest. Who would have thunk it.

4. What was the sound system?
I have some extra stuff lying around that I could send you if you can use it, let me know what it was that died if you’re interested, either in-thread here or a private message is fine.
My week sucked too, a couple of expensive car repairs and othr assorted crap, nothing too serious luckily.
I hope next week is better for you and yours. Keep on truckin’.

10. Glad it was under warranty
I don’t have anything like anyway. I hope they don’t take forever to get a replacement to you.
^^^actually relieved that doesn't have to help the big guy.

5. I'm so sorry Steve
I hope Marta is feeling ok. Would suck to have bad days at work while feeling bad.
Glad your sound system is under warranty. At least it’s covered.
No A/C in August in the midwest!! YIKES! Try to stay cool.
