Mayor Richard "Scott" Silverthorne, 50, who is also a substitute teacher for Fairfax County public schools, was arrested Thursday after he allegedly provided meth to undercover officers who met him at a local hotel, police said. Two others, identified as the mayor's alleged suppliers, Juan Jose Fernandez, 34, and Caustin Lee McLaughlin, 21, both of Maryland, were also arrested outside the hotel and charged with meth distribution, police said. The mayor did not resist arrest and cooperated with officers, police said, but McLaughlin was subdued with a Taser after he "physically resisted" his arrest, police said.Read more: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2016/08/05/mayor-wealthy-dc-suburb-arrested-meth-charges/88286280/ Drugs are so inner city, so urban. No, he's actually done some good things as mayordeveloping parks and bike trails and improving pedestrian-friendly infrastructure. He's also welcomed refugees and has support from police. I didn't see anything about his record on drugs or crime. Strange how someone could lead a double life like he did.

A Fairfax native, Silverthorne, a Democrat, was elected in May to serve his third term in the nonpartisan office of mayor. He has previously served nine terms on the City Council. And his father, the late Frederick W. Silverthorne, served as mayor of Fairfax City in the late 1970s and early 1980s.Silverthorne worked briefly as a Fairfax County substitute teacher beginning in April, but he was terminated from that position Friday, school district officials said.
Richard "Scott" Silverthorne, mayor of the city of Fairfax, Virginia, and a supporter of Hillary Clinton, has been arrested after allegedly giving methamphetamine to an undercover detective in exchange for a homosexual encounter, according to Fairfax County police. The mayor allegedly promised to bring more men, turning the sexual event into an orgy.

In the real world that is ****ing up the parking opportunities for everyone downtown. If he had not been arrested a streetcar line would probably be next just to twist the knife.
