How quickly the unthinkable becomes the new normal


The new normal is that Donald Trump is a major figure, not just in American politics but in world politics. I don't need to launch into how weird that is, how unfit he is. We here all know that.

Humans are amazingly adaptable and amazingly persuadable. Millions of Americans have been persuaded or persuaded themselves to see Trump as the American Savior. Millions more have adapted to his actually being the Republican nominee. We may be appalled by it, but it's still become the new normal.

I have to keep reminding myself that there's nothing normal about this whole mess. There's nothing normal about Trump or the response to him by his supporters.

When hate and fear become the new normal, we're in deep shit. And that's true even though I don't think the vulgar talking yam stands much of a chance of winning.

I don't see Trump as an American Savior.  It is a leftist mindset to see their politicians as saviors.  Nobody on the right is calling Trump a Light Bringer or a magic negro.

Humans are amazingly adaptable and persuadable?  Dipshit leftists sure are.  Back in 2008 Barry and Cankles were both against gay marriage and the leftists were cool with it.  Flash forward 8 years and the democrat party from the top down, from Emperor Barry on down to the lowliest of the low primitives at democrat underground.  All of them are onboard with gay marriage and letting people go into whichever shithouse suits their fancy. 

Anderson Cooper was on TV the other night berating the Florida AG for expressing compassion for the night club victims when she hadn't even tweeted support for Gay History Month on twitter.

We're in deep shit, alright.

The hate , fear and violence demonstrated by Hispanics waving Mexican flags at Trump rallies couldn't be plainer.  Those racists and other protesters are convincing "fence-sitters' to vote for Trump.

I'm on the Trump train but I don't go trying to convince other people to jump aboard. He's the Republican nominee and I'm #neverhillary.

I've also noticed a big pull-back on the mexican flag thing. Methinks the word went out that it wasn't selling so well.
