poll: the Great Schism or not?
« on: June 12, 2016, 04:06:47 PM »
The division currently occurring on Skins's island between the supporters of the Nominee Certain and the old sourassed sourpuss, with adherents of the latter migrating over to Manny's jackass message board, has been compared with the Great Schism that happened within the Christian church in 1054, which of course is still there.

There's many here who seem to think it's going to be permanent.

I however disagree; I think it's more comparable to the secession of Biafra from Nigeria in 1967, a separation which lasted for three years until the Nigerians reabsorbed the breakaway province.

Manny's jackass message board offers primitives the allure of the new, the flashy, the novelty, but primitives at heart being stuck-in-the-mud reactionaries, probably will inevitably migrate back to Skins's island.  The primitives after all are uncomfortable, ill-at-ease, with change, as proved when the old DU was usurped by the new DU a few years ago.  They just can't handle change.

Also, Skins's island, having been around for more than 15 years now, long ago established itself as the place to be, the place to hang out, the place where the cool kids were.  The primitives have a longing to be cool, and Manny's jackass message board doesn't cut it, any more than Joe's diner is an adequate substitute for the Country Club.

Finally, Skins, the leader of Skins's island, has charisma that attracts, while Manny and his women are, to put it kindly, rather boring.

I dunno how long the division's going to last, but this being May, I'm guessing maybe through mid-November, after which it'll seem as if the primitives were never disunited at all.

Perhaps it would be wise for the Bernie bullies to contemplate upon the fate of Biafra.

Frank, in both 2004 & 2008 the DUmmies were feuding heavily.  Which you probably recall.  It was easy to accept Kerry.

Remember the PUMA crowd in '08?  Among others.

I think they'll come back around.  We only need to look as far as the other splinter sites to see the handwriting on the Jackass site's future.

Secondly, look how popular the subforums for failed presidential candidates are on Skin's Island.

They'll enjoy their little primitive Rumspringa while they can, and eventually turn back to Skin's.

See, I think that no one's really sure.  It may be short-lived; it may spawn a few new boards.  I think that the Bernouts won't act as a monolithic group.  They themselves may split and form different groups--"tribes on the island," if you will.

Depends on if Hillary wins. She wins, and they may trickle back slowly. She loses, they'll be back, the hillbots and the bern-outs will kiss and make up because of their common hatred of America and the Constitution.

I voted not sure.  The berniebots are pretty rabid, sore losers as well and hillary carries negative baggage.  Does that translate into a mass purge, voluntary or otherwise?  Who knows.  I guess we will have to wait and find out.

Cali said in 2014 that she would never support Hillary. Last week, she said she would in order not to be stuck with Trump. Now the jackasses are claiming Trump will win because of some Democrat's terrorism, so they'd better get in line:

Ski$$er is about done with the Bernbots  and will ban them later this week unless they shut up and  shape up.

Anything can happen. I would suspect that the Berniebots would leave, especially the ones who are new to DU.

The more established DU members are likely to kiss up to Skinner. Why leave DU when you have been there for years.

Even the ones who return to DU, they may lockstep with Skinner, but there is going to be tension underneath it.

They'll all be in lockstep come November without a doubt. When push comes to shove they will vote D each and every time.

I tend to think that the Bernouts will either: 1) Stay home and just not vote, or 2) Vote Green Party.  The Greenies' candidate echoes a lot of Bernie's positions.  Will it be enough to tilt the election?  In one or two swing states, perhaps.

Since the signature line's getting a little old and irrelevant, I'm going to retire it now, but save it here for future reference, in case anyone missed seeing it, and also because I forgot where I got it, and might need it again.

They won't last long alone. Primitives are programmed to be slaves to their overlords. And the DUmmie's primary one is Skins. They will return, save for those who are banned.

Hard to say, not sure right now. Some, maybe 40% will return. Some will vote Green Party (if that still exists, I haven't heard word one about them this cycle). Some will stay home. A few might even revenge-vote for Trump. But I think up to 60% will not come back to the DUmp.

And really, it's Skinner's own fault. He made the armature mistake of endorsing his bread's butter way too soon. You would think someone named Skinner would be more deft at handling his pigeons. But no. He's as ignorant as the chattel he tends to.
