Thought on the TERROR attack in Orlando
« on: June 12, 2016, 08:29:44 PM »
I've been giving this some thought today. I am not surprised that there has been another terror attack on US soil, and I'm not surprised that it carried out by a Moslem. The details are horrific, no matter what group the victims belong to. No matter what group the victims belong to. (Emphasis so any lurking DUmmies won't miss it).

Those of you who know me, know I am slow to anger. But this shit angers me. I can not ****ing believe that one man did it all, and 300 people ran or hid in bathrooms and closets (there is an awful metaphor there), and 50 or more died. People called or texted their friends and their mothers from inside the club, for Christ's sake, but no one fought back. No one disrupted his plan, and this shit went on for three hours until the police made entry. Three ****ing hours.

And, it was a "gun-free zone". ****ing lambs to the slaughter.

What in the **** is wrong with these people? No survival instincts? No will to live?

Shit.

For any lurking DUmmies: this is the really real world, where the State can not, and will not, keep you safe, and where it's not their job to rescue you from bad people who do bad things. There is no safe space. "Gun free zones" are killing grounds. This is reality.

Liberals + Homos = 10X greater chance of pearl clutching.

That's the only thing I can figure.  Sad and pathetic.

That place was a bar for Christ's sake. All kinds of bottles, chairs and other makeshift weapons were available.  Two or three people making a coordinated concerted effort should have been able to end it.

You forget...liberals don't have backbones.
A liberal who is mugged by reality becomes conservative.

Not all gays are liberals.

But the majority of them are. Sure you have your Log Cabin Republicans and the odd case like Milo Yiannoupolous who I'm fairly certain is packing heat. In the grand scheme of things however they seem to make up a very small percentage of the gay population.

I don't know. They see how gays are treated that come out as conservative, and decide to not make it public. It would make their life easier in the long run if they are not vocally conservative.

You keyed in on the problem with your safe space comment.  liberals today are programmed to run and hide and demand a safe space when they are threatened rather than stand and fight.  Seeing what has been happening on college campuses in the past few years, this problem of doing nothing in the face of danger and fleeing to a safe space will just get worse and we can expect to see more victims who could have/should have fought back.
Biden is an illegitimate President.  Change my mind.
