Boulder DA: Traffic case did not meet criteria to try in adult court

Quote
Boulder District Attorney Stan Garnett said that the 17-year-old accused of driving into a stopped car and killing two people earlier this month should not be tried as an adult, but added that an adult case would have been thrown out by a judge even if he had chosen to file it that way.

The driver was charged with two counts of vehicular homicide under a reckless-driving theory and two counts of vehicular homicide under a driving under the influence of drugs theory in juvenile court.

Citing his age, the Boulder County District Attorney's Office did not identify the teen driver. But the Daily Camera confirmed that Quinn Hefferan, who graduated from Boulder High School last weekend, is the driver charged in the fatal crash.

No surprise it is in liberal Boulder County.

I'm guessing an adult family member is a local Democrat big shot/donor.
