workinclasszero (10,570 posts) Thu Apr 28, 2016, 12:48 PMJane Sanders predicts epic Bernie comeback Jane Sanders predicts epic Bernie comeback Bernie Sanders may be down, but he is certainly not out of the race, Jane Sanders said Thursday, predicting that her husband would win a slew of victories going forward into May and beyond that will keep him competitive leading up to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. The comments come a day after the Sanders campaign began laying off hundreds of campaign workers in states that voted Tuesday rather than having them stay on for future contests. Sanders' campaign dismissed the notion that the layoffs represent a posture of weakness, with campaign spokesman Michael Briggs telling POLITICO on Wednesday that it comes "from a posture of reality." http://www.politico.com/blogs/2016-dem-primary-live-updates-and-results/2016/04/jane-sanders-bernie-comeback-222568

NCTraveler (15,715 posts) Thu Apr 28, 2016, 01:01 PM4. It's not all that bad of a comment. I agree it isn't based in reality as far as winning goes. It is more about a cash grab. Sanders wants to have a solid showing in CA. It will help him to have influence on the platform at the convention. Jane and others are going to have to be a wee bit dishonest/deceptive like this in order to keep the cash coming in the door for the rest of the states.
