'Affluenza' teen Ethan Couch reckons his two-year jail term will be slashed to just six months, his family have exclusively told Daily Mail Online.

Couch dodged prison for a 2013 DUI crash that killed four people but was belatedly handed four consecutive 180-day jail terms on Wednesday for breaching his probation by partying and fleeing to Mexico.

The new punishment kicked in because Couch turned 19 while in custody. He appeared before Texas Judge Wayne Salvant as an adult rather than a juvenile.

Society needs him in the middle of the desert, in a prison run by Sheriff Arpaio!
