I had an abortion at 7 months pregnant in 1978.

It was after extensive consultation with my doctor and my husband. My husband drove me 6 hrs away to find a clinic that did them that late. We paid for a hotel room nearby.

Although I am sometimes sad about never having children I will never regret my decision. I feel grateful often that some medical people somewhere close enough for me to access, was willing to do what needed to be done. That kind of work had to be hard on them. They were compassionate, skilled and probably saved my life.

It was hard enough as it was. A torturous decision. Why..... WHY....... does anyone in government.......... anyone in the whole world...... think they have any right to make it even harder than it has to be. WHY would anyone demand that I be forced to carry until the actual moment of life threatening emergency takes place.... when the odds of me surviving would be so much less having lived in a very rural area? WHY add more expense, invasive ultrasounds and waiting periods to the agony already present in such a decision?

WHY - WHY - would anyone think they have a right to make a medically necessary procedure illegal.

You have no say. It's not your baby. It's not your body. You are not my doctor. The whole lot of you who think the ban is a fair compromise are so far in the wrong it's ridiculous.

I hope to God none of you ever face a decision like that.

Elective, at seven months. Bitch, but she claims she had a little earlier one just a year later:

I hate abortion.

Hate it with a passion. I am not now - nor will I ever be "pro-abortion".

I'd love a world in which abortion was never needed as an option..... some magical world where women are not impregnated against their will, all men treat all women as equals, moments of passion never get the best of anyone ever, economic security is always the norm, pregnancy never endangers women, and fetuses always come out perfect every time.

I had an abortion at 22 weeks in 1979. My mother took me to Louisville.... I don't remember where. My family and siblings were supportive of me but never voiced an opinion one way or the other regarding abortion both before and after the procedure. To this day it is a non-issue as far as family is concerned. Still, it was a gut wrenching choice that affects me to this day. It was the right choice for me, at that time in my life. But it was not an easy choice to make.

Those of us who fight for choice and access to safe, legal abortions understand women face tough choices and situations. NO ONE is qualified to make a decision except the woman who is pregnant.

NO ONE.

And it's not any of our business why a woman is making the choice to end a pregnancy.

I'm absolutely sure the opinion of your family and siblings isn't the one that needs to concern you.

The bitch carried the baby for 7 months. She couldn't go another 2 months and put the child up for adoption?   She is such a selfish twat.

I had an abortion at 22 weeks in 1979. My mother took me to Louisville....

Either she's a serial aborter, or a :bouncy: -spinner with a poor memory of previous versions of her fabricated :bouncy: :

The 2015 version: 1979; 22 weeks (~5 1/4 months); mother drove her to the abortuary;

The 2016 version: 1978; 7 months (~31 1/2 weeks); husband drove her to the abortuary, including an O/N stay.

IOW: different year; very different gestation time; different driver.

Why is she whining about having had 1 or 2 late-term abortions - assuming she actually had one at all? If abortion is so OK, why is it eating at her?

FWIW, I have great sympathy for women who have had an abortion because: it was their life or the baby's (the wife of an occasional CC poster was in that position, and it still pains her); their life was being threatened if they did not abort, and escaping was not possible; they did not, at the time, realize what they were doing; they have since come to fully regret (repented of) it.

BTW, if the 2016 version of her story is true, her baby was quite viable, even by late 1970s standards.
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

18. I am pro abortion.

I want to see it widely available. There will always be a need for this medical procedure.
The majority of women feel relief after the procedure and then get on with their lives. The right to lifers like to spread the falsehood that it is an emotionally debilitating experience with a lifelong negative impact on women but that has been proven to be completely false.
