One wonders what, or who, the fizzgig primitive was paying a visit to in Nebraska:

our nebraska adventure - lots o' pics

we visited carhenge and scotts bluff national monument this weekend so i could take some pictures. the husband may refuse to go to the bar for a beer with me, but he'll put 500 miles under his butt in a crappy rental just so i can shoot.

i swear to gods, chevy went out of their way to make the spark suck. it got great mileage and didn't break down, but it was poorly designed and miserably uncomfortable.

it was chilly and windy when we got to carhenge, but it was fantastic.

[some pictures of Nebraska and two shots of the fizzgig primitive]

2. I've been by Scotts Bluff many times, but never had the chance to stop in.

That's the curse of being a trucker. You get tantalizingly close to so much great stuff around the country but rarely get the chance to experience any of it. It's just endless miles of pavement and what you can see outside the windshield.

Great pictures.

4. that had to be frustrating

it didn't make sense to not stop while we were out there.

one of the neatest parts of the trips was driving the back roads. we only took the interstate when necessary (25 south from cheyenne) and it was really relaxing.

I hope Coach remembered to hide his razor and clippers.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Keep driving East fizzygig  until the hills turn to hollers and the moonshine is in your eyes.   Welcome to the beginning of reality.

Damn.

I wish dutch508 would've been on duty this week.

You know that thunderthighs. being who and what she is, probably showed a reckless disregard for the rules in this state, and was probably smoking dope all the way from Colorado clear to the western fringe of the Sandhills, where Carhenge is located.

It would've been great if her dope-smoking ass had found out what the inside of a jail in Nebraska looks like.

I find it odd that thunderthighs and her worthless husband had to rent a car, though.

I mean, both of them have their own motor vehicles.

I'm guessing that perhaps the car maintenance and upkeep part of the budget went to buy dope.

Fizzgig had a good entry in the "what's for dinner" thread recently.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Government Motors! Your tax dollars at work!

Is, "i swear to gods," the latest trend in pagan chic? If so, I'd rate it  ::) ::) ::) .
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

Uncomfortable seats seem to be a staple of low-budget cars.  Maybe they're an incentive to upgrade to a nicer vehicle.

The Kia Optima penalty box I got stuck with in Illinois was just as bad.

I got bumped up into a Taurus once because the rental company ran out of smaller cars.  It was the worst driving experience of my life.  It took a week for my back to return to normal.

It's why I'm willing to spend extra to have my Fairlane bench seats upholstered with quality foam and vinyl.  I snuck into the back seat of a full-sized 2009 Kia Amanti way back when.  It was better than first class seating and better than any Cadillac.  It might as well have been a leather-upholstered vagina it was so plush and soft.  America needs to make seats like that again.

The mini Altima was f'n terrible.  It didn't help that I didn't get home until 2am.  My Camry is not any better.

The worst seats I've ever been on were the ones in my Mom's 1972 Mercedes 220D.  The ones in her 1980 240D weren't much better.  I'd been more comfortable sitting on a concrete block with a paper towel covering it!

Subaru's have some good seats, the Chevy SUV's seats are very nice (LOVE the ones in my Tahoe!), my 2002 Jeep Cherokee had very nice seats, but the one I like the best is the JPO (Just Plain Ol') bench seat in my 1988 Ford F-250.  I guess because over the years, I've "molded" it to the shape of my ass!   :rotf:

Assholes like that are the reason I cringe everytime I cross the state line with my colorado plates. I'm just waiting to get pulled over for any minor infraction thanks to the dope heads.
