AA Group Family and Friends ...
My account has been re-activated!!!
I woke up this morning to discover I had had a post hidden. I reviewed the post (after all ... I did have a beer last night) and thought I have posted way more inflammatory stuff than the hidden post ... and I have had far more inflammatory stuff directed towards me. So I sat down and fired off a tongue in cheek OP (riffing on what I, and others, have been noticing) and posted it in the AA Group, as I know I've seen some REALLY flame worthy stuff posted in "protected groups."
I went to pour myself a cup of coffee ... and returned to find my account had been flagged for review.
While anyone can click on the "show post" link, and see what that was about ... I want to acknowledge the display of support. Thank you.
But ... if posting a question about a candidate for public office ... a question that has been the subject of numerous articles and OPs in mainstream media ... is considered hide worthy (even though, similar posts have been posted to DU, unmolested); and, if writing a post expressing a concern that a candidate is NOT speaking to me, as an African-American, in a way that is persuasive, and making a generalized mocking of the arguments posed by his supporters, that miss the entire point of my concern, are hide worthy (but the personalized and specific attacks in response ... hell ... the hiding jury's comments, go unmolested) ... then, perhaps I am in the wrong spot.
I'm going to take a break, take a breath and consider and, possibly, return.

18. I've taken vacations, too, especially after bogus hides when some word jumper or outrage troll has gotten lucky with a jury. They especially like to troll protected groups, not much protection in them. Maybe membership should be required to alert in a group. Maybe alerts should be tracked so the people who alert on every single word they think someone somewhere might be offended by can be identified and booted as disrupters, something really needs to be done.

And Lord knows she's done and said some questionably racist crap which is why none of us raise much of a fuss when it happens.
And yet, I have never seen ONE of the people screaming about your post where you questioned BS's commitment to black issues complaining that Hillary gets called a "racist".
The BULLSHIT and the hypocrisy are too much. As a black man, as an AMERICAN apparently daring to even question what BS would do is too much for the fragile and delicate fee fees of his supporters. This place has jumped the shark and gone off the deep end for years but this just too much.
I don't blame you for taking a break. I honestly don't want you to come back. Not because you are not loved and your voice is not appreciated. But because this place has been taken over so fully and so completely by libertarians that don't give a SHIT about us that it's honestly not worth the trouble. They are NEVER going to give a damn and they've made that clear and have completely taken over this board. So why bother?
