I've never seen this DUmpmonkie before. I am sorry to hear your news and hope all the best for you in this time of trouble.

See, Steve? This is how you do it.

diagnosed with stage 2 Esophageal Cancer
Yesterday morning. Which basically means that my condition is probably inoperable.
Six months ago I was diagnosed with level 1 ASD (Autisms spectrum Disorder - formerly known as Asberger's Syndrome) I was so happy about it. Finally I have an answer to a life long puzzle.

But I can't see anything positive about this latter diagnoses. When I asked the Gastroenterologist if I probably have about one to three more years to live - He said, "Yes, that is probably about right."

When I was young I used to constantly contemplate suicide. Then I discovered that life was more bearable than I initially thought and that some of my unsolvable problems did have solutions.

Now it is all completely out of my hands. Is there a right way for a person with ASD to face the likelihood of death?

Sorry for being such a downer. I just can't come up with a way to put a positive spin on this one.

No.... Steve has not made a comment yet.

Ahem, a list of positive outcomes of your pending demise:

1. Lessening the overpopulation problem
2. Taking less valuable resources, all for the greater good of course
3. Lots of healing white light in your immediate future
4. You may die, but your vote will live!!
5. Nature is doing what your mama should've done before you were born
6. You won't live to witness the horrors and destruction of the pending Republican onslaught.

I'm very sorry to hear this for this person.  I can only imagine the fear.  I know we are all going to die but "knowing" is really final and scary.  I pray their end journey is not painful but peaceful.

Another dead DUmmy.

That is a positive spin.

It's the only time a DUmpmonkey ever makes the world a better place.

The Big Guy is going to be so pissed when he reads that DUmp thread.

Sounds like a long slow painful death, good thing you are use to not having any dignity. Repent now.

A good while back I saw a story about a young boy who was battling cancer. I can’t remember his name so for the point of this post I’ll just refer to him a Dave. His obituary went something like this,

At 6:14 this morning Dave won his battle with cancer and is now walking cancer-free with his paternal grandfather on streets paved with gold.

Naturally there was more to the obit, but that first sentence really caught me. It was heart breaking to think of what Dave went through, but he at least had a nice place to go when it was all over. If what Douglas says is true, I would hope that Douglas has a gentle journey and a nice place to go at journey’s end.
“Don’t vote for the person who tells you you deserve something. Just don’t do it if it’s something other than life, liberty, or the pursuit of possible happiness. If everyone is telling you you deserve something, vote for the one who is promising you the least. Be suspicious of the man or woman who tell you deserve everything. Because you don’t.” ---Mike Rowe

Poor Steve. Now someone has stole his "I'm dying" thunder and puts out details.  He just can't catch a break. Loser in life and loser in death. I think if I was Steve I would just off myself and be done with it.

Just a random thought... the last thing I would do if I was nearing the end of my life is get on here and tell the world. The world wouldn't care and I'd waste precious minutes typing up the "I'm dying" thread.   :lmao:

How old is he?  Sounds a little late in life to diagnose his mental malfunction.

It's been two or three weeks since the Big Guy reminded the DUmp he's dying.

Long overdue.

Watch for it.
