This next one is classic DU. It doesn't matter why or how as long as their free speach is crushed to further our cause!

8. The scope and depth of hatred of self-righteous hypocrisy is on full display.

In full-blown moral defeat and driven beyond the brink of insanity, they resort to tossing their money to charlatans and haters in the misguided hope that their coins will change history's surging tide of equality. What a ridiculous spectacle offered by these fools!

Please--continue making complete asses of yourselves--and be swept away into the darkness of oblivion as the light of a new and better day dawns.

29. If they don't do catering why did they go "out on a limb" by saying they wouldn't serve at a gay wedding?  That's like me announcing to the world that if asked, I'd turn down a free trip to Mars. As for the taxes, I hope they get so much money that it drives them into poverty trying to pay the taxes.

:o other that going for stupidist person on teh internet exactly how do you make so much money you go broke paying for taxes?

33. A reporter came around and apparently specifically asked them the wedding question

For more see: http://now.snopes.com/2015/04/01/memories-pizza/

17. And, like the bakery, fools and their money having parted the pizza place will eventually close anyway. See, crazy fundies will fund racist homophobes and not see it as welfare.

21. Man, you would not believe how far off you are. No one asked them to deliver pizza to a gay wedding. Rather, the Pence Act was signed and this pizza joint, out of the blue, claimed they would never cater a gay wedding.

No. They didn't.

35. Apparently a TV reporter came around and asked them a question about a hypothetical gay wedding. Her report aired and the rest is history, see: http://now.snopes.com/2015/04/01/memories-pizza/

a snopes link is a nice touch, obvious mole.

Still not sure how this is a scam- except from leftists trying to make this the next big national issue.

1. Some how I think this was all a scam in the first place..newly opened business not doing well.......its not a first either

Well, if being in business for 9 years is "newly opened" and "not doing well", OK. In the normal world being in business 9 years is far from "newly opened", and in the restaurant business being open for 9 years is a sign that the restaurant is probably at least moderately successful.

As several posters pointed out, this story was ginned up by a TV station - a station nearly 30 miles away - "news" editor and "reporter". The pizza shop owner was minding her own business - literally - when the "reporter" drove some 30 miles, across South Bend, past Notre Dame University, to that pizza shop in a tiny rural town. And those DU member linked a Snopes page, which for Snopes comes close to an admission against interest!

DU-folk want to think of the wildly successful GoFundMe as fools being easily parted from their $$. I see it more as a mass rejection of the homosexual activists' and their shills' provocation and agenda. I guess perspective affects what one "sees".

The pizza story isn't developing the way the libs want.
Now it's alibi time to trot out all the possible ways to gracefully retreat from their losing proposition.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.
