That's 22 words, DUm- DUm. He could have just said "Influence," then in the next sentence elaborated on what he meant. Still a lame and nonsensical point, but at least he'd look like slightly less of an idiot that way.
Of course they love the idea of reinstating the Fairness Doctrine, to silence those views that they disagree with on the grounds that stations who refuse to give equal time to all alternative views will be shut down.
Then, when all the political pundits who disagree with them have been silenced, they'll next target Christian radio stations. For every minute one of those stations spends talking about Jesus or quoting the Bible, they'll have to give equal time to Muslims, Atheists, Wiccans, Satanists, etc., or else be shut down.
