You got it, I never liked Seinfeld's vanity project, and still detest it.

Such as vanity publishing. Difference in what we think of as a vanity project I guess.

I am a big Seinfeld aficionado, and my two favorite episodes are probably "The Cheever Letters" and "The Junior Mint".  Figures that the DUmmy was lazy and just calls the latter " Mulva".

I wasn't a fan of Angela Lansbury's "Murder, She Wrote" TV series. But it lasted a dozen years so sounds like a whole bunch of other people did like it. But if the topic came up at CC "What was your favorite episode", it would never cross my mind of chiming in to say something negative. But I'm an adult.

What gets me is the inability of primitives to simply pass by a topic. The idea of "if you can't say something nice...." is so far beyond their ability to understand, it's ridiculous. It would be so easy to see a thread like that and say "I didn't like the show, but I know others did and they're discussing what their favorite one was, so I'll just not participate." But they can't do that. Doing that would require thought and consideration of others. That's too complex for them. So they crap on someone else's thread which, in turn. accomplishes nothing except to bring strife.

Their immaturity still amazes me.

So many of the Seinfeld episodes were comedic genius, I have a hard time choosing one as my favorite.
I have a hard time passing a thread by because I hate lurkers, and I don't want to hate myself.

I agree. The Kenny Rogers Chicken episode was epic as was the Japanese tourists sleeping in Kramer's chest of drawers.

I'm the exact same way.  There are genres of shows that I don't particularly care for.  As well as numerous very popular shows that I've never seen or seldom have.  I certainly don't feel the need to chime in and criticize what others are entertained by.  I just ignore the conversation or thread.

I didn't see even a single episode of "Seinfeld" during its original airing because I couldn't stand Jerry Seinfeld.

In syndication I've watched every episode at  least two or three times.

It declined after Larry David left, but to me it was still the best comedy series ever on TV (tied with Curb Your Enthusiasm).

I still can't stand Jerry Seinfeld. Sort of like the nadin of TV comedy.

I also like the one where Newman catches Jerry and his girlfriend making out during Schindler's List and tells Jerry's parents.

Seinfeld is total 'Short Attention Span Theater' -- There is so little crossover between episodes that someone watching the show for the first time can start with nearly any episode at random and get the gist of it by the time it ends.

Aside : I get a chuckle every time I deliver a J Peterman catalog to someone along the mail route. ( http://www.jpeterman.com/ ).John O'Hurley (who played Peterman in the series) is now part of the B.O.D. for the J Peterman Co. - and it is widely believed that spoofing the company on Seinfeld saved it from bankruptcy.

I think my favorite episode is The Bottle Deposit.  It's hard to choose a favorite, though.
