FERGUSON, Mo. (CBS St. Louis/AP) – A new video shows the stepfather of Michael Brown warning he was going to start a riot following a grand jury’s decision not to indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson.
In video recorded by Al Jazeera America the night of the decision, Louis Head is heard saying, “If I get up there, I’m going to start a riot.†This was prior to his “Burn this bitch down!†rant before protesters.
St. Louis County police said they are investigating Head’s comments as part of a broader inquiry into the arson, vandalism and looting. Twelve commercial buildings were destroyed in the hours after the grand jury decision.
“We are pursuing those comments and there’s a lot of discussion going on about that right now,†Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson told Fox News.
