1. I vote "fabricating polls."

Do not get comfortable. I believe we must act as if we are 15 pts behind. It is NOT McSame that we are up against. Don't be lulled by the fact that he is obviously an idiot. Have we not seen what they are capable of? Do we understand who the enemy is?

I dunno.

Polls are nonsense, especially when so many of us, including myself, lie when responding to them.

The poll of franksolich's gut tells him that provided John McCain makes no major bloopers (minor ones okay), and Barry "Goldwater" Obama persists in being the same as he has been, that Barry "Goldwater" Obama can reasonably expect to carry only the District of Columbia and Vermont in November.

Wait and watch, and see if I'm not right.

Actually, I don't think McCain has to do a damned thing; he can vacation in Europe all summer and autumn, and still win.

As the madman Khaddafi of Libya said a couple of months ago, Barry "Goldwater" Obama has an inferiority complex.

Now, we all know the madman Khaddafi is a madman.

But even a broken clock is right two times a day.

Barry "Goldwater" Obama's going to slip up.  I suspect he's going to overplay this "you're a racist" theme, with of course much help from the primitives, but it might be something else.  All one knows is that there's a very big banana peel in front of Barry "Goldwater" Obama, and he's ignoring it.

It would be nice, yes, if the worthier presidential candidate hammered Barry "Goldwater" Obama, but I think he won't have to, as Barry "Goldwater" Obama hammers himself.  It's inevitable, and so one might as well sit back, relax, and watch.

Why do they DU a poll then get upset at the results? That's a serious reality disconnect!

I hope you're right frank. What am I saying? I KNOW you are right.

So you think McCain's ploy is to give him enough rope to hang himself? I seriously hope this is a brains over brawn event. I still remember when GHWB fought his half-hearted battle against Clinton .... and lost. That memory is seared into my memory.   :p

If MSNBC has a poll showing them in a dead heat, that means McCain is about 10 points ahead.  I'm serious.

I was fighting with a DUmmie type elsewhere.  He/she/it was carrying on as if the election was unnecessary because EVERYONE, outside of the "22%'ers", was salivating for Barrack Hussein Obama.

The DUmmie became infuriated when I said, "no big-eared democrat, who is half-white/half-black, a Marxist wannabe, with two funny names, a muslim middle name, the most liberal rating a senator can receive for his 150 days TOTAL in the federal government, a dubious history as an American, a dubious birth certificate, a loud mouthed racist Marxist preacher/mentor, a louder mouthed Marxist wife, and the inability to form a coherent sentence without a teleprompter has any chance AT ALL of winning the election".

I got back an, "Oh yeah???  Well John McCain is OLD!!!!", along with the usual profanity and rage.

I seriously do not know what is going to happen when Obama Hussein goes down in flames.  The writhing and screaming and gnashing of teeth and pulling out of hair is not going to be enough to satisfy the rage and hopelessness.  I am pretty sure some people will die.

Coach, didn't you yourself say that it's kinda early for polls yet?

Personally, I too think that B. Hussein Obama is going to do something to blow off his foot (figuratively).  I think it happens by the "Death of a Thousand Cuts" until, say, two weeks before the GE, then Obama's going to go "all in," and really **** it up.

You think his inexperience will finally catch up to him?

I am kind of surprised it hasn't happened yet.... well it has, but the GOP has been giving him a free pass on his many gaffes.

Think about McCain the man for a moment. Put aside the political quibbles most of us have with him. Policy can be worked around, negotiated, changed....besides every president must compromise. Even Teh Oooobama wouldn't get everything he claims to support.

John McCain's past and the way he has handled himself speaks volumes to me. While it's easy for some people to look at his wartime service (and huge sacrifices) and think, "Hey, this is a no-brainer...", I look at how he persevered and went on to serve as a Senator for over 20 years. Lesser men would have not been so ambitious.

So in a nutshell, I think McCain is made of something you cannot instill into a candidate. It doesn't come from the political pundits, it doesn't come from the policy wonks, it doesn't come from favorable polls and fawning crowds. The measure of a man starts within. My ruler comes up pretty darn short when I look at Ooooobama the man. Not so much when I look at McCain the man.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Nah, he'll carry at least Illinois, Minnesota, Massachusetts, and California, only because all of those states are so overrun with idiot libtards who think "da gub'mint" will create raspberry sherbet out of shit with Obama's patented magic fairy dust.

I am starting to see the wisdom in allowing him to hang himself with his own rope. I do think Obama, through his inexperience and inflated ego will flip-flop his way to election day.

However, I think McCain would be better served if he started communicating the distinctions between him and Obama. McCain, in my opinion needs to start moving to the right. If the Christian conservative vote stays home on ED, McCain will lose.

Totally agree. I feel sick to my stomach when I think about him exhibiting common GOP traits. Politics is a contact sport. Standing on your principles and letting actions speak for themselves sounds great in theory, but you have to mix it up a bit.
