Oh my.

I remember the primitives' memories had gotten so bad that four or five years ago, they forgot to commemorate the anniversary at all.

51 years ago President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. Case not closed at all.

I remember November 22, 1963 on the schoolyard of Milwaukee's John Muir JHS when I asked a friend why he was crying. "They shot President Kennedy." He was right. Whoever Lee Harvey Oswald was-he isn't what The Warren Commission said-the patented "lone-nut assassin".

This thread is in memory of John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Join me in tribute to him.

It's a long thread, the primitives indulging in their conspiracy wet-dreams.

88. We'll never know,

and soon November 22 will be just another day because all of us who remember will have left this mortal plane.

46. I read a biography of J Edgar Hoover

can't remember the author, but reading it I was struck by the fact that the three people that Hoover hated the most, Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King, were all successfully assassinated. And Hoover was uniquely placed to plan it and have it done. Hoover also had the idea that only he really could decide who was a real american, and who was a danger to the country. I believe he did it, using an FBI agent or two.

^^^that's a new theory, at least new to me.

35. Oh, please.

Your OP was a ruse. You tried to present it as a JFK tribute, but what you obviously wanted, and got, was CT jabber.

I found this I wrote, on February 12, 2011:

Quote
This afternoon I attended a big book sale put on by a local small-town library.

I dunno what the rule is in other places, but here in Nebraska, libraries are supposed to cull through, and discard 3% of their entire collection (minus the local and regional stuff), so as to get rid of the dead wood and make room for new books.

The books were going for twenty-five cents apiece; there were thousands of them.

I could not help but notice there were an awful lot of books about the Kennedys.

Stacks of books about the Kennedys; all the individuals, all the generations.

Then it struck me.

Anyone growing up during the 1960s and 1970s was surfeited with reading matter about the Kennedys; and given their popularity among the great unwashed brainwashed, the Kennedys were the "royal family" of America.

I recall as a little lad, as a teenager, as a young adult, it seemed the Kennedys would never go away.

That they were constantly re-elected with little or no problem, despite their personal and political corruption, said much about the cult-of-the-personality voters in blue states.

Nebraska of course is a red state with no particular fondness for Jack the Father, Bobby the Christ, and Vast Teddy the Holy Ghost, but it's in the nature of Nebraskans to be even-handed, and so all libraries, in both the cities and small places, have plenty of reading matter for minority Dems, liberals, and primitives.

In fact, more books about the Kennedys than any other American political family.

I inquired why so many Kennedy books, and was told these were no longer of any special interest, as shown by the circulation figures; some of these books had not been checked out since 1978 or 1981 or something.  And even the recent ones, from the 1990s and the beginning of this century, had been checked out only once or twice.

Whoa.  And I thought the Kennedys would never lose elections, would never go away.

122. this morning

i went through my usual morning routine - acknowledging the day of the week, the date, my personal prayers, and things i want to get done for today. when i got to november 22nd, i remembered the strong irish face of president kennedy waving to the crowd and his beautiful wife beside him waving, too - just before he was shot. what a loss for the world of such a beloved man who respected persons of all walks and colors.

Oswald was a communist, that is why they refuse to accept that he was the shooter.
JFK was a disgusting human, that has been established.
As a President, from what I have read,it sounds as if he was an incompetent boob that did learn on the job despite his idealogical vicious younger brother Bobby.

JFK would not be welcome in todays democrat party and if he lived and had any bit of honor (yeah,I know when talking about a Kennedy) would have repudiated dead Ted for the scumbag he was.
