PARIS: France's first lady, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, says she's not pregnant despite the rumors, which she puts down to her drinking the occasional beer.

The model-turned-songstress says she "would certainly like to be pregnant" but is not. If her tummy has grown, it is because she enjoys an occasional beer.

Bruni-Sarkozy spoke to the free newspaper Metro ahead of the release of her new album on Friday. She says she will not be doing concerts because the heavy security would take away from the fun.
