Report: Chuck Todd To Be Named New Host Of 'Meet The Press' Today

NBC's Chuck Todd will be named the new host of "Meet The Press" as early as Thursday afternoon, CNN's Brian Stelter reported.

Citing people with direct knowledge of NBC's plans who were not authorized to comment on the record, Stelter reported that current "Meet The Press" host David Gregory will so quickly be replaced by Todd that it's unlikely he'll host the network's flagship Sunday news program this weekend.

NBC declined to comment to Stelter on Gregory's replacement. The rumor that Gregory would be replaced has been circulating for quite a while, though.

Politico's Mike Allen had reported earlier this week that Todd, the network's chief White House correspondent and host of MSNBC's "The Daily Rundown," was the "likely successor" to Gregory and that the shake-up was "expected to be announced in coming weeks."

The DUmmies won't be happy unless Mike Malloy, William Rivers Pitt, Rachel Maddow or someone of that ilk gets to host everything.

For the most part, the DUmmies also were never thrilled with Russert.  I usually thought he was a pretty solid journalist and overwhelmingly fair.

Good gravy! Chuck Todd is as left as they come. All the dummies have to do is read his political stupidity on NBC news First Read.

I swear the closer to the election we get, the more unhinged the dummies become.
