Familys of dead Masons and Shriners..
« on: July 28, 2014, 11:11:17 AM »
Comes a time when we the family's of men who our fathers, brothers, uncles and grand parents pass on.

Years later when we go through their personal belongings kept in trunks or safe in a bank come to light.

This is when the family learns about the Masonic ties they had no idea of.  Lots of stuff, the Eastern Star rings from our Grand Mothers, the rings of the Masonic groups.

So what do we do  with the  new found items of the past family ?

There is both a past Eastern Star ring that came from my grandmother,  I would never place it on my hand but on a chain to wear around my neck. -------Then a Masonic ring old and at the time bought very cheap what they could afford at the time, should I take the ring to be re- clad  in 24 K gold ?

I need to know how to care for and care for the things my ancestors put such a high value on.
