To be fair, I am sure the last 5 Presidents have done the same thing.   If they are going to a city, no matter the reason, they are pretty much going to have a fundraiser.

That is the problem.  The job of the President is to run the Country for all people regardless of which political party they identify with, not make side detours on our dime to raise money for his political party.
