Should we add a Dem-bashing clarification to the GD SoP? [View all]
Currently, the General Discussion Statement of Purpose reads:
Discuss politics, issues, and current events. No posts about Israel/Palestine, religion, guns, showbiz, or sports unless there is really big news. No conspiracy theories. No whining about DU <<<then has a question about should 'we ask the admins', followed by the poll>>>
They don't know how to look away, or trash a thread, or not open a thread, but would rather have "someone" do all the censoring for them. 'Let the government take care of meeeeee' (or in this instance, the admins.)
How dare a low post newbie make a suggestion! The Horror!

All this talk of a need for more rules cracks me up. We have AUP. We have mods. We have an alert/jury process in place. We have ignore.
Is it perfect? No. Nothing ever will be.
Maybe we could all try being adults and letting the process work. And if something offends you that is allowed to stand, there's this nifty little red X at the top right corner of the screen.
Grow. Up.

3. "Those quests can find a site that pleases them more". Exactly, the owners of the site have created the site they want, obviously. But it seems there a few here who do not like what the administrators have created.
That, I believe is the point of this OP who appears to be quite happy with the site the Admins created.
Your advice might be more appropriate in some of the threads that appear to be railing AGAINST what he Admins have created.
This one appears to be perfectly happy with it.
Oh, and me too, I think the site is a work of genius and am in awe of the amount of work and thought that went into creating it.
It's kind of rude of those who keep trashing it, yet continue to post here imho. They could always start their own site. must not have been reading gnads' complaints about the admins not caring, herself not posting crunchies, suggesting people go to her own blog to get all the info, etc.
