My wife will get her meds [View all]
Those of you who suggested we go through the drug company directly were bang-on correct; our insurance company is still futzing around, but the drug company has hooked us up for enough time to get the issue permanently resolved.

Thanks for all your (mostly) kid words and advice.

Still hyper-pissed.

But my wife will get her medication.

And that is enough for today.

Wait a second. I thought all pharma was heartless rethuglikkkan shills?

I, for one, am personally grateful to O'bama for making our lives SO much easier!  Who woulda thunk that by this time we would not only have shit for insurance but we would also be responsible to line up our own drugs!  Wow, what a deal.

That was last week, when he wasn't in line for free stuff.

You realize how much poverty he had to plea to get cheap drugs?

Lurking asshole DUmmies, let this be a lesson to you when you start talking shit about big business. If they're selling Pitt his meds at insurance rates, they aren't making any money. They're bailing out a scumbag moron who refuses to look before he leaps.

I'm deeply disappointed to see Pitt's bouncy resolved. I was hoping for a storyline that would proceed all the way to hospice. A sure DOTY winner.

But no.

The male heir to the fabulous Pitt fortune has filled out, in triplicate, documents swearing to his abject poverty and inability to provide the most basic needs to his scumbag shitty family - the ultimate irresponsibility.

He's depriving us of a great "dying wife" storyline, but instead has exposed the myth of Pitt affluence.

Pitt's charity drugs are an eastern equivalent to Amber's free rent and utilities.

Does this contribution have to be accounted for with the IRS?  I mean if I give away 50K (as if) someone would have to pay a tax on it right? :whistling:

The recipient of a gift doesn't report it to the IRS. It's non-taxable, just like an inheritance.

The gift tax burden is on the giver, if the gift falls outside IRS limits.

So if you're planning to send money to Pitt, don't worry, he won't have to pay taxes on it.

I hope that Koch shill Will ends up getting an IRS audit over this anti Barrycare kerfunkle.

And Raven too.

Something very odd about this whole tale of woe.  Two weeks ago Pitt posted the same BS about not knowing how to get his wife's drugs.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=4616679
http://www.truth-out.org/opinion/item/22279-william-rivers-pitt-worse-than-the-mob-the-insurance-industry-is-organized-crime

In those links, her doctor advised her to contact the drug company directly.  Pitt claims they did and received a 30 day supply on 06 March.  What's up with the huge kerfunkle less than two weeks later?

Also, based on what Pitt has posted previously, his wife is on a drug that only received FDA approval last year.  The manufacturer, knowing that it takes time for new drugs to get rolled into insurance plans, offers the drug free for a year to anyone whose insurance hasn't caught up.  The guidance for getting the drugs free is prominently displayed on the website created for the drug, which is the first website you see if you Google the drug.  The manufacturer also offers a $10 copay program for people without insurance coverage.  Are we supposed to believe that neither Pitt, his wife, nor her neurologist (who is supposedly one of the best MS specialists in the city of Boston) actually looked at the website for this new drug?

Seems like Pitt just created this shit storm just so could bash Obama.  Wonder what the DUmp monkeys think about the Pittster creating a story out of thin air just so he take a swing at their Messiah.
