Focus turns to pilots as hunt for jet widens

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) - Attention focused Sunday on the pilots of the missing Malaysia Airlines flight after the country's leader announced findings so far that suggest someone with intimate knowledge of the Boeing 777's cockpit seized control of the plane and sent it off-course.
 
Prime Minister Najib Razak gave the first detailed findings Saturday in the more than weeklong investigation into the missing plane, showing that someone severed communications with the ground and deliberately diverted Flight 307 after it departed Kuala Lumpur for Beijing on March 8 on an overnight flight with a 12-person crew and 227 passengers.
 
Satellite data suggest it flew for at least 7 1/2 hours and that it could have reached as northwest as Kazakhstan or deep into the southern Indian Ocean, Najib said. "Clearly the search for MH370 has entered a new phase," Najib said at a televised news conference. "It is widely understood that this has been a situation without precedent."
 
Experts say that whoever disabled the plane's communication systems and then flew the jet must have had a high degree of technical knowledge and flying experience. One possibility they have raised was that one of the pilots wanted to divert the plane for some reason - possibly even to commit suicide. Piracy and hijacking also have been cited as possible explanations.

Here's another one of the Big Guy's offerings that was locked.  So many of the DUmmies seem to have the mindset of "Mine is important. No one else has this information. Even it it's already here, mine is the best."

I think it'd be good for Skins to have a rule that one has to make at least ten comments on other threads by other primitives before one can post one original topic.

I'm sure computer software can do that.

This way, the primitives would be forced to interact more with one another, and it could cut down on the number of nuisancesome duplicate threads.

Not likely. The majority would simply 'K&R' as many threads as possible. Along with being liars, primitives are always lazy.

They need to do more and more of it, combining same-topic threads, so as to neaten up Skins's island.

I give you the latest example--some primitive posted a thread about some Democrat down in Kansas being on his death-bed.....and then half a day later, the cousin started a second thread on the same topic.

Now in there LBN section there's yet another thread about an hour old http://www.democraticunderground.com/1014756975 (by the Big Guy) about Fred Phelps, the guy in Kansas - even though it's been discussed in GD for 15 hours on two different OPs.

They really do have a great need for pruning and monitoring.
