This would probably have gotten me arrested. Consider this story, and you might feel the same way.

DR. KEVIN "COACH" COLLINS — MARCH 7, 2014

A drooling moron who runs a high school in Minnesota decided that following fire alarm rules was more important than the physical well being of the students the rules were written to protect. Obviously unable to think for himself, Principal Dan Mesick, who administers Como Park Senior High School in St. Paul, could not understand that a student who happened to be swimming when the alarm went off must be given an opportunity to dry off and get dressed or stand inside the building until the extent of the danger was determined.

When the alarm went off,  the school’s officials forbade Kayona Hagen-Tietz, a fourteen year old girl, from retrieving her clothes and either standing in a safe location in the school, or sitting in a mentally competent teacher’s car.

In the case of fire, it totally made more sense for her to go out into below freezing weather in a wet bathing suit than stay in the pool surrounded by water.  :whatever:

Apparently you're not familiar with St. Paul in wintertime.

Put it another way--find a walk-in freezer.  Wearing only a bathing suit, soaked from head to toe, without any other clothing, towel, etc., stand in said freezer for 10-15 minutes.  Have a nice fan blowing some soothing air around to simulate wind chill.

There's absolutely NO reason this child needed to be left out in weather like this.  As suggested, at least get her a towel and let her sit in a warm vehicle.
