BEIJING –  China's official Xinhua News Agency says at least 27 people are dead and 109 injured after a group of knife-wielding men attacked a train station in southwestern China.

It's up to 33 killed now.  And, the group that did it (some of the attackers were shot by police) seems to be a Muslim-separatist group from the northwest of China.

The main thing that surprises me is not that the Uyghurs are pulling this, but that they've gone WAY outside their normal AOR.  This is about 600-700 miles away from their "normal" homeland.
